Mothering Sunday (or Mother’s Day) is a special day for many, a day to celebrate mothers - yet for many it is a difficult day, a day of sadness and sorrow, for a wide range of reasons. Our passage today, Psalm 71, speaks of God as our refuge and our hope, giving comfort in our sorrow.
